Agreement Hellenic MAE – Lafarge Beton

HELLENIKO M.A.E. signed an agreement for the installation of a ready-mix concrete production unit in the Metropolitan Pole of Hellinikon – Agios Kosmas. and Lafarge Beton.

Lafarge Beton, a member of the HERACLIS Group, will proceed with the installation and operation of a ready-mix concrete production unit, with a capacity of 130m3/h. The unit will serve the needs of the project, having high quality concrete with low incorporated carbon.

Care for the environment is at the core of the activity of both companies, which ensure compliance with the highest standards of environmental protection. With this criterion, the new unit meets the specifications of European and international standards and operates with an energy and water saving system.

The new plant has the ability to supply innovative concretes, such as Special Architectural Concretes (Agilia, Hydromedia, Artevia, Ultra), as well as the new ECOPact green range of concretes with a low carbon footprint, which gives added value to sustainable constructions. The HERACLIS Group, as part of its green strategy, has an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), both for the Concrete Activity and for all types of cement it produces in its Factories.
