Agreement on the principle of where future pandemics – except the US after Trump’s decree

The Member States of the World Health Organization (which) today reached a “agreement on the principle” in a text that is expected to allow the world to better protect future pandemics after more than three years of discussion, the co-chair of the negotiating body told the French Agency. There is a “agreement on the principle,” said An-Lerr Abrou, a co-chair of the France’s negotiating body and ambassador for global health, stating that representatives will meet Tuesday in Geneva to make small corrections in the text. The 194 Member States of the Organization are in negotiations on an agreement that could increase cooperation before and during pandemics, following the failures observed during Covid-19. The US has left the discussions this year after President Donald Trump issued an executive decree in February, withdrawing his country from where and banning the consultations.
