Agreement with North Korea provides for broad “strategic cooperation”, says Kremlin

The Kremlin said on Tuesday (15) that its treaty with North Korea provides for “strategic cooperation” in all areas.

Tensions have been rising on the Korean peninsula after North Korea blew up inter-Korean roads and railway lines on its side of the heavily fortified border, prompting South Korea’s military to fire warning shots.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow would share more details of a planned treaty with Iran once it was concluded.
