Chicken meat exports reached more than 432 thousand tons in June, up 8.8% compared to June 2021.
According to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), this is the third largest volume in the history of chicken exports from Brazil. ABPA’s president, Ricardo Santin, commented on the results for the month of June.
“They brought in foreign exchange earnings of US$ 951 million, almost US$ 1 billion that came to irrigate the Brazilian economy,” said Santin.
“It is important to remember for you, consumers in our country, that exports help to maintain the balance of companies, help to face the great increase in the cost of inputs – corn and soybean meal have gone up too much, making chicken expensive in our country. supermarket shelf,” he explained.
“Exports help balance this account, causing money to be distributed throughout the region of production and the entire Brazilian economy.”
