Agroindustrial production grew 3.4% in November 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year, reflecting the performance of the Food and Beverage Products segment, which increased by 7.9%. The data are part of FGV Agro’s monthly survey on the sector.
The FGV pointed out that the Non-Food Products segment, in turn, registered a drop in production volume, of 1.2%. With this, the accumulated advance in the year of agroindustrial production is 1.3%, from January to November, compared to the same period of the previous year.
“It is worth mentioning that the agroindustry should end the year 2022 with a positive variation compared to 2021 (around 1.4%) despite the fact that the first half of the year was very uncomfortable”, said the FGV.
The growth, highlights the survey, will come notably from the Food and Beverage Products segment. “This is because Non-Food Products will only close the year in a positive field if, in December/2022, it registers an interannual variation equal to or greater than 1.7% – something that was not observed in the last two months”, he highlighted.
