THE Microsoft announced at his event Build in Seattle, this Monday (19), the launch of new models and programming agents with artificial intelligence (IA) for your products focused on companies .
Azure Ai Foundry, Github, and Windows will receive improvements that will allow developers a faster and more scale work, helping in tasks ranging from programming to research and creating personalized solutions.
One of the releases will be Microsoft 365 Copilot Tuning, a platform that will facilitate IAS development and training, optimizing the process of creating and implementing new technologies in the company.
In addition, Github, a platform that provides control of development project code for development projects, so that teams can try the best models without leaving the Microsoft system.
Windows Ai Foundry will come to as a unified and reliable platform that supports the AI in training developer’s life cycle, with simple apis for vision and language tasks.
Speaking at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington, before the event, technology director Kevin Scott told reporters and analysts that the company is focused on helping to promote patterns in the technological sector that allow agents from different manufacturers to collaborate with each other. Agents are artificial intelligence systems capable of performing specific tasks autonomously, such as correcting a software error.
Scott said Microsoft is supporting a technology called Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open source protocol introduced by Anthropic, a company supported by Google. According to him, MCP has the potential to create an agent web, similar to how hypertext protocols have helped spread the internet in the 1990s.
“This means that it is your imagination that will guide what the web of agents will become, not just a handful of companies that happened to see these problems first,” said Scott.
He also said that Microsoft is looking for ways to help AI agents have a better memory of the tasks requested by users, noting that so far “most of what we are building seems very transactional.”
However, improving the memory of an AI agent is expensive as it requires more computational power. Microsoft is betting on a new approach called Structured Retieval Augmentation (structured increase by recovery), in which the agent extracts small sections from each user interaction and builds a type of script from what was discussed.
“This is a central element of how to train a biological brain – you don’t force everything in your head every time you need to solve a specific problem,” Scott explained.
