AIF: Free digital signatures for tax accountants and members

The Greek Chamber of Commerce announced the free issuance of intangible remote Digital Certificates for its members and accountants – tax experts.

OEE, as the body responsible for the provision of digital signatures, is making this move, in collaboration with the Central Union of Chambers of Greece (KEEE).

These are digital certificates of three years duration, the issuance of which starts from tomorrow, Thursday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m.

Security in digital transactions

The digital signature contributes significantly to the security of digital transactions and to the consolidation of institutional trust between taxpayers, companies, accountants – tax experts and tax authorities.

The certification of the electronically submitted documents using the digital signature, ensures in full the deed and its original origin.

The process

Beneficiaries enter with taxisnet codes in the application “Submission of Digital Certificate Application (DP)”, from the website of the AIF.

After confirming their personal email, they choose to submit a new request.

They fill in the form with their personal data or update them, in case they are not accurate.

Upon submission of their application, the AIF, after certifying the fulfillment of the criteria, sends the request to the KEEE for the completion of the issuance process.

The beneficiaries then receive in their email the opening message from the AIF and the KEEE, with the relevant instructions for the continuation and completion of the issuance of a Digital Certificate.

The President of the Economic Chamber of Greece, Konstantinos Kollias, stated: “The granting of a free digital signature is another winning bet for the AIF, in the direction of digitally upgrading the operation of our members and accountants – tax experts. The Economic Chamber of Greece, always keeping pace with the developments, it is a help in the effort made by its members and the accountants – tax experts to be competitive in the new business environment “.
