Lebanese state media confirmed that at least two airstrikes hit the southern suburbs of Beirut.
“Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting the Haret Hreik area,” Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said. “The hostile aircraft launched a second fierce air attack on the southern suburbs, with clouds of smoke rising.”
It is unclear whether the attacks targeted the buildings identified in the previous warning.
“For your safety and the safety of your family, you must leave these buildings and those nearby immediately and move at least 500 meters away from them,” warned an IDF spokesman in X before the attacks.
Shortly after the attack, the Israel Defense Forces issued a second withdrawal warning.
“You are located close to Hezbollah facilities and resources, against which the IDF will operate in the near future,” said the IDF’s Arabic spokesman, specifying a building in the Choueifat Al-Umara neighborhood.
