Air strikes on refugee camp in the West Bank kill at least 13 people, says UN

At least 13 Palestinians, including five children, were killed in a 28-hour operation by Israeli security forces in a refugee camp in the West Bank, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East ( UNRWA).

The operation took place in Nur Shams, said UNRWA West Bank director Adam Bouloukos.

The statement adds that UNRWA has suspended schools, health services and solid waste collection in the countryside.

Earlier in the day, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported that at least 84 Palestinians had been killed in the occupied West Bank since October 7.

Since the start of Israel’s war, a deepening humanitarian crisis has taken hold in the Gaza Strip, with an Israeli siege preventing access to critical resources and airstrikes that have killed at least 4,385 people, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
