The long-awaited Arbitrum airdrop didn’t go according to plan. The Arbitrum Foundation website was unable to cope with the huge number of users wishing to brand ARB tokens and was taken down due to too many hits. The Arbiscan explorer was also unavailable.
At the same time, ARB began trading on several centralized exchanges. Due to low liquidity, the price of the asset immediately soared – at the time of writing, it is trading near the $10 mark.
Remember #Arbinauts, you have 6 months to claim your tokens! Gas fees will be quite high, and there will be server congestion.

The project team tried to smooth things over and published a tweet reminding users that ARB tokens can be claimed within 6 months.
Activity on Arbitrum breaks records
Activity in the Arbitrum network began to gain momentum immediately after the announcement of the project team about the release of ARB.
On Wednesday, the number of transactions on the L2 blockchain rose to a new all-time high of 1,312,052, surpassing the February 21 peak of 1,103,398, according to the Arbiscan explorer. By comparison, there were about 1.08 million transactions on the Ethereum mainnet.
Since Arbitrum announced the release of the token a week ago, the number of transactions has increased by more than 50%, and the number of unique ones has grown by 400,000 – at the moment it is more than 3 million.
