The price of airline tickets has soared in recent months and has a destination costing 91% more, according to an exclusive survey for the CNN. In October, one of the main highlights of inflation was the value of airline tickets, which rose 34%.
The high was motivated by the increase in demand with the opening of activities and the advance of vaccination. In addition, the rise in the price of aviation kerosene also puts pressure on the cost of tickets.
A survey carried out by Kayak, a ticket comparison company, showed the difference in the prices of the most sought after destinations by Brazilians in October.
In June, the air ticket to São Paulo cost R$ 567; in October, R$ 847 — an increase of 49%. To Natal, the price to fly, in June, was R$908. In October, it jumped to R$1,586 (75%). Maceió was the destination with the highest price in the same period: from R$953 (June) to R$1,586 (October) — an increase of 91%.
