Flights were temporarily interrupted at Manchester Airport on Friday morning, following a collision of two EasyJet aircraft, which rested with their wing on the runway to take -off. According to the Guardian, the aircraft, which operated flights to Paris and Gibraltar, came into contact at around 6:30 am, but managed to return to parking where all passengers landed. No injuries were reported. A Manchester Airport spokesman said: “We temporarily stopped operation until it was evaluated if the aircraft could go back to parking, which eventually happened, so the flights continued after a few minutes.” The Tynisha Chaudhry passenger, traveling with her partner to Gibraltar, likened the crash to a traffic accident. “We felt the whole plane tremble – it was a huge blow,” he told the BBC.
