Chapecó Airport (SC) was closed for more than ten hours after a Latam plane exceeded the lane limit and ended up on the lawn, a few meters from the street. The incident occurred around 7:30 pm last Monday (31).
By note, VOE XAP, the dealership responsible for Chapecó Airport, said the aircraft was removed around 9am on Tuesday (1st).
“With the operation finished, the airport has already resumed operations normally. The causes of the incident will be investigated by the competent agencies,” says the concessionaire.
Latam reports that, because of the incident, five flights that had the city of Chapecó as its origin or destination had to be canceled.
