Akasa’s catalog has been expanded with a passively cooled mini-PC case called the Newton A50. It is designed for Asus PN50 and PN51 boards, which are equipped with AMD Ryzen 4000 and 5000 mobile processors, respectively.
The dimensions of the case are only 169 x 115.5 x 68.5 mm, and its volume is 1.3 liters. In addition to the board, which has an M.2 slot, the case accommodates one 2.5-inch drive. The body acts as a heatsink. To increase the surface area that dissipates heat into the surrounding space, ribs are formed on the top and sides of the case. At the ends there are holes for input-output connectors. Optional A-ATN01-BK antennas and A-ATC01-GR cables are available if you plan to install a wireless module.
According to the manufacturer, the built-in Radeon Vega 7 graphics processor makes the mini PC suitable not only for office tasks, but also for home entertainment, including “light gaming”. The ability to connect an 8K display or four 4K displays allows the system to be used for digital signage and multi-display installations.
The Newton A50 case costs 92 euros.
