Aktor: LOT2 of the Sebes-Turda motorway was delivered to traffic

One of the largest and most modern road projects in Romania, section 2 (Lot2) of the Sebes – Turda highway, was delivered at the end of November by AKTOR, a company of the ELLAKTOR Group, to the competent authorities of Romania.
As part of an event held in late November, Sorin Grindeanu, Minister of Transport of Romania, Cristian Pistol, General Manager of the National Infrastructure Company of the country and the Management of the Greek construction company AKTOR announced the launch of Lot2 Se – the 24th Motorway , 5 km., Which unites the homonymous areas, thus serving and connecting the entire geographical distance from the area of ​​Sibiu to Cluj.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the highway, a project that is a milestone for the infrastructure of Romania, the Prime Minister of Romania, General Nicolae Ciuca, congratulated all stakeholders for the completion of the project, emphasizing that: “The development of road infrastructure in Romania is “It is a priority for the Government. It creates long-term benefits and ensures the interconnection of many areas with quality, safety and greater speed. I congratulate all stakeholders on the completion of the project and wish them every success in the future.”

Afterwards, the President of AKTOR, Mr. Christos Panagiotopoulos stated: “Romania was and will remain an important priority area for AKTOR while we will continue to support all projects and contracts that are currently under development and in progress. We are very proud of the completion of this infrastructure because we managed, under quite difficult conditions, to deliver an even and modern project – a milestone for the country. now focusing on specific markets, such as Greece and Romania, with the aim of creating perfect breathing projects that upgrade the infrastructure and the quality of life of the people. The Sebes – Turda Lot2 motorway is added to a wider list of AKTOR innovative infrastructure projects in the country, which are in progress, such as Lot 3 of the Bucharest Ring Road, and railway upgrades such as railways. Lot 1. Brasov-Apata and Lot 3. Cata-Sighisoara, the Lot 2 Apata-Cata railway section and the restoration of subsection 2c of Gurasada, with a total budget of € 682 million.
