“Over the weekend, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation against a significant al Qaeda target in Afghanistan. The operation was successful and there were no civilian casualties,” said a senior government official.
The information was confirmed on Monday (1) by the president Joe Biden .
“It was meticulously organized so that it just hit the target,” the president said, adding that no civilians “or innocent people” were hit.
Bolsonaro will go to Fiesp on the same day as the reading of manifestos for democracy in SP
President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) anticipated from August 12 to 11, at 4 pm, his participation in the meeting with candidates organized by Fiesp (Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo), in the capital of São Paulo.
The new date is the same on which manifestos in defense of democracy will be read in an act of the Faculty of Law of USP (University of São Paulo), in Largo São Francisco, in the center of the city.

Diesel oil price doubles in a year and a half and Petrobras sees no downward trend
Unlike the government’s successful efforts to lower the price of gasoline at gas stations, the price of diesel oil continues to be on an upward trajectory and there are no signs that it will fall again.
The liter of fuel has been rising month by month since December 2021, according to a survey by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP). Petrobras, which prices the fuel on sale to distributors, still sees a ‘stressed’ market and no chance of a significant drop.
The assessment is by the spokesman in the area of prices, Claudio Mastella, director of Commercialization and Logistics, and was shared with journalists last Friday (29/7). Today, the average price of a liter of diesel at gas stations is R$7.42. The amount is more than double the R$3.69 registered by the ANP survey in January 2021.
The rise in prices in this period of time has a set of factors as its cause, but the root is in Petrobras’ International Price Parity Policy, which basically levels the values practiced in Brazil to those of importing companies and the world market.
Inflation in the city of SP decelerates in July for the 3rd month with a drop in transport
São Paulo’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.16% in July, a slowdown from 0.28% in June and 0.42% in May.
