Alarm in France: A stranger stabbed a 76-year-old man in the neck in Montpellier

Alarm signaled Wednesday morning at Montpellier, in southern France, when a stranger attacked me knife to a 76-year-old pensioner and seriously injured his neck outside the church of Saint-Roch
in the historic city center.

The 76-year-old suffered a deep wound in the neck, which, according to medical reports, severely damaged the carotid artery. He was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition. According to information from the French media, the victim is the theatrical director Alain Franson.

According to Europe 1, the possibility of a terrorist act is not currently being considered.

The action has escaped while according to Midi Libre, the police have blocked several nearby streets in the center of the French city in order to reportedly create a security perimeter.

It is worth noting that the elderly man was stabbed in the carotid artery resulting in his health condition being critical.
