The vice-president of the Republic and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), Geraldo Alckmin, announced Marcela Carvalho as executive secretary of the Chamber of Foreign Trade (Camex), a body linked to the Pasta.
Marcela is a career civil servant, foreign trade analyst at the MDIC, graduated in international relations from Faculdade Integrada do Recife (PE) and has a master’s degree in Development and International Trade from the University of Brasília (UnB).
The servant was assistant secretary for development at the MDIC; head of international advisory and head of the Foreign Trade area at the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management.
“Marcela has extensive experience in trade policy, industrial policy and innovation and returns to the leadership of Camex with the mission of contributing to the modernization and expansion of our trade policy, through a broad and constructive dialogue with the private sector and academia, alongside Tatiana Prazeres and Andrea Macera”, informed Alckmin in the post.
