After discussing the guidelines of the ticket that composes with ex-President Lula with left-wing parties, the ex-governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) declared support for Marcio França, when speaking yesterday (21) at the National Meeting of the PSB, in the Chamber Municipality of Osasco, São Paulo, with the presence of about 200 people.
In the video to which CNN had access, Alckmin makes up a table of party leaders. In the background, the image of França and Alckmin with the slogan “São Paulo united”.
“Here in São Paulo, our leader has a first and last name: Marcio França. We are together, see, Marcio. It’s Marcio here and Lula there”, he says.
Despite PT’s attempts to withdraw from the dispute, the former governor of the PSB presents himself as a candidate for the Palácio dos Bandeirantes.
Members of Fernando Haddad’s (PT) campaign confess that they are on hold due to the uncertainty surrounding the dispute. To withdraw from the contest, France will be able to choose between the vice and the Senate – the latter option considered more likely.
The National President of the PSB, Carlos Siqueira, said that “nothing is advanced” when commenting on the deadline for negotiations on state tickets. Siqueira believes, however, that the matter will be resolved by next week.
Haddad’s campaign also expects a gesture of approximation. Fernando Haddad should count on Geraldo Alckmin for a visit to a cooperative of settlers and family farmers, in the city of Andradina, São Paulo.
