Alert for the presence of Listeria in a goat cheese sold in Lidl: if you have this batch, do not consume it

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has reported through a statement the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the Goat Cheese Roll from Netherlands and that in Spain it is sold exclusively in supermarkets Lidl.

“This information has been transferred by AESAN to all the autonomous communities through the Coordinated Rapid Information Exchange System (SCIRI) with the aim of continuing the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels “, states AESAN, dependent on the Ministry of Consumption, and clarifies: “With the information available, no case associated with this alert has been confirmed in Spain.”

The product in which it has been detected Listeria monocytogenes it has only been distributed in Spain on lot 412 with expiration date 11/06/2020. “It is recommended that people who have products included in this alert at home refrain from consuming them and return them to the point of purchase,” recommends the Consumer statement.

“The product can be returned in any store of Lidl where the purchase price will be reimbursed, even without presenting the purchase receipt. No other product sold by Lidl Espaà ± a, nor by the supplier Brasserie Licorne SAS, is affected by this return campaign “, says, for its part, the supermarket chain on its website.
