Alessandro Pippa’s feat, 23 years old: two master’s degrees achieved on the same day

A record company: last Tuesday, at the Polytechnic of Milan, Alessandro Pippa, 23 years old, Bolzanino, discussed two theses, in front of two different commissions and, in the end, he obtained two master’s degrees on the same day. In the morning the one in mechanical engineering with 95/110, in the afternoon that in management engineering with 96/110. “I’m an ordinary person,” he says to Couriereven if his path tells anything else.

After the Triennale in Bolzano, closed with full marks (110/110), Alessandro decided to raise the mail. «After the three -year, I thought: what will remain of the hours spent on the books? So much study and then forget everything? No. At that point he was worth two. The law allowed me to me. A little from outside the head, but it doesn’t matter: I wanted to dare».

To do this, he had to split. «I was the first student of the University to experiment with the novelty. I had two identities: two freshmen, two electronic booklets. All doubled (apart from taxes, thanks to the scholarship by merit). And nobody had to know. Neither professors nor friends. Anonymity, however, did not last long ».

His roadmap was tightened. «By frameing every moment. I found myself following seven courses, three of management and four mechanics. I studied from 8 to 1 at night, six days a weekwith three hours scattered between movements, preparation and lunch and dinner. In a room shared with another student, on the Bovisa campus ».

And again: «I put myself in the most difficult condition for the first semester, to test myself. Twelve times between writings and oral. In some cases, It happened that the same day I had to make a writing in the morning and the afternoon another oral. I saw that, running like a madman, I could do it ».

The difficulties? «A mechanical course, control systems. A bloodbath. On 19 – the only one of my career – most celebrated ever ».

But Alessandro Pippa has not limited himself to books. “I couldn’t wait to give vent to my entrepreneurial ideas. I created a solution to compact a aircraft, a folding personal helicopter. I called it Stycraft. To be loaded on the car, go where I think, pull it out and fly: it was my dream ».

The enthusiasm was not enough to convince everyone. “The professors I contacted started by targeting the wings … bureaucratic, regulatory speeches … dissuaded me. Until I went on myself: I bought the pieces on the internet. I assembled, modified, transformed them. I managed to pilot it! ».

Then the other project: «I started planning too A folding scooter. I built the first prototype, and I proudly deposited the patent. From portable backpack by transport, as if it were a magic ».

Now Alessandro looks forward with the project GIOVER.I am founding a startup of mine. The idea that the founding is the most spectacular performance that can be set up. A person walks, crushes a button, a bike appears and then leaves. Something that is worth remembering. Long live me, therefore, and alive the one who is the protagonist of the scene. The attitude to dare, as I did ».

On a personal level, a boy like the others remains. “I found friends already after the first session. In the few free moments, I was always with them. As for sentimental relationships, I would have risked not to devote too much time to the other. I would have been willing to abandon everything for the right person. But it didn’t arrive».

And the party? At the height of the company: “Double laurel wreath, double parchment, double slap with friends. It could only be so ».
