In April, Alibaba Group is set to launch a blockchain lab in Japan, promising to help its local partners develop commercial projects based on modern technologies.

According to information provided by the media, Alibaba Group is setting up a laboratory in the Japanese city of Shibuya. The laboratory should serve as a center for the training of specialists and the exchange of experience between developers of commercial projects created on the basis of the blockchain.

The developers of the Alibaba Cloud platform, as well as Tokyu Real Estate and Skeleton Crew, BitSummit, a studio for creating games and VR content, took part in the creation of the laboratory.

At the initial stage, the Alibaba Group Blockchain Lab will focus on training engineers from partner firms specializing in the development of joint projects with Alibaba Cloud and blockchain. Those who wish will become participants in hackathons, seminars, master classes and other networking events.

In addition, the team of one of the largest cloud providers Alibaba Cloud intends to provide Japanese users with a scalable and secure infrastructure for creating blockchain nodes by the end of the year. This Alibaba Cloud service is currently in the testing phase.
