Alibaba released a competitor Deepseek

On January 28, the Chinese technical gigant of Alibaba has released a new version of the QWEN 2.5 AI model, which, according to the developers, is more powerful than Deepseek-V3.

QWEN 2.5-MAX in almost all indicators exceeds the GPT-4O, Deepseek-V3 and LLAMA-3.1-405B, the company’s cloud unit said.

The neural network was trained with more than 20 trillion tokens. It is available through the API or in the QWEN Chat chatbot.

Two days before the release, Alibaba has released a new family of QWEN2.5-VL models that can analyze text and images. Neural networks can understand videos, files, read the number of objects on images and control the computer similarly to the AI-agent from Openai.

According to benchmarks, the powerful neural network QWEN2.5-VL surpasses the GPT-4O from Openai, Claude 3.5 Sonnet from Anthropic and Gemini 2.0 Flash by a number of criteria.

The technical director of the Huging Face Philip Schmid showed how QWEN2.5-VL launched the Booking service and booked a plane ticket.

The recent launch of the Chinese and model of Deepseek-R1 caused a commotion in social networks, a collapse of the stock market and discussion about the change of leader in the artificial intelligence sector. The startup showed that China no longer acts as a catch -up.
