“Alien Archives Reopened”: series about ETs premieres on Friday (23)

The series “Arquivos Alienígenas Reabertos” premieres in Brazil, on the History channel, on Friday (23), at 10:10 pm.

The production investigates the mystery behind some of the most relevant UFO cases and extraterrestrial phenomena of the last 75 years. The series is based on testimonies given by government sources from around the world.

In addition to the official speeches, “Alien Archives Reopened” also brings together a team of experts, including a cultural psychologist, a theoretical physicist, an investigative journalist and military personnel to elucidate the mysteries.

The proposal is to clean up the stories that involve classic cases and show aspects such as government disinformation, false stories, infiltrations in the research community and protection of technological information against State adversaries.

In the first episode, the series shows a group of UFOs that flew over the sky of Washington in 1952 and came to overshadow the presidential campaign at the time. In response, then-president Harry Truman wanted to combat the story with disinformation and bureaucracy.

Unpopular, Truman withdrew his bid for re-election and the Democratic Party nominated Adlai Stevenson II as its candidate. He, who was governor of the state of Illinois, lost to Richard Nixon in the elections by 442 delegates to 89.
