“Alien: Romulus”, from the 1979 film saga, gets a trailer; watch

The film “Alien: Romulus ” got its first trailer on Monday (04). The science fiction film resumes the saga that began in 1979 with the film “Alien, the Eighth Passenger “.

Scheduled to open in theaters on August 16th This year’s film follows a group of space colonists exploring an abandoned station when they encounter an unknown and frightening life form.

The direction is Fede Alvarez , responsible for films such as “The Man in Darkness” and “The Death of the Devil”. The production is Ridley Scott responsible for directing “Alien, the Eighth Passenger”.

The film features names like Cailee Spaeny (“Civil War), David Jonsson, Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”) and Aileen Wu in the cast.

The Alien franchise began in 1979 and, to date, has had eight films. “Alien: Romulus” will be the ninth in the saga, which includes the features: “Alien, the Rescue”, “Alien 3”, “Alien – The Resurrection”, “Alien vs. Predator”, “Alien vs. Predator 2”, “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant”.
