Alina Hutchins’s husband sues Alec Baldwin for homicide

Lawsuit against the actor Alec Baldwin testified husband and family of the undefeated filmmaker Alina Hutchins, who was killed during the filming of “Rust”. In the lawsuit filed, compensation for homicide is sought from Baldwin “and those who were responsible for security on the set.”

The lawsuit was filed in Santa Fe County, New Mexico by Matthew Hutchins and the filmmaker’s 9-year-old son, attorney Brian Panis told a news conference in Los Angeles.

The event that shocked the public happened in November 2021 in a church which was part of the shooting of the movie rust. During a rehearsal for a scene in the film, Baldwin fired a shotgun, killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza. It remains unclear how a real bullet was found in the chamber.

The tragedy on the ranch in New Mexico, where the film was being shot, remains under investigation by local authorities.

Baldwin said in a statement after the crash that officials had been told the gun was “cold”. (a term used in filming to indicate that it is safe to use) and that he did not pull the trigger.

The lawyers of Alina Hutchins’s family filed a lawsuit against the actor Alec Baldwin on Tuesday 15/2 while they released a creepy video that represents the shooting of the film and the moment when the filmmaker was killed.

The eerie animation, entitled “Killing of Halyna Hutchins on the set of” Rust, “uses computer-generated figures of Baldwin and others filmed on the fateful film that day.

It includes the moment when the Hollywood star allegedly pulled the trigger of what was supposed to be a propeller with empty bullets.

“There are many culprits, but Mr. Baldwin was the man who held the gun. If he had not shot, he would not have died,” Hutchins’s lawyer Brian Panis told a news conference in Los Angeles.

«[Ο Μπάλντουιν] “He has a significant responsibility, but there are others, and that is why the case is about, through a fair distribution of responsibilities, and who is responsible for the absurd tragedy,” said the lawyer for the lawsuit, which was filed in New Mexico.
