With a few days left for the long -awaited show Lady Gaga in Copacabana fans from different parts of Brazil, and even from abroad, are concentrated at the door of the Copacabana Palace hotel, in an attempt to see the artist closely. The presentation, scheduled for Saturday (3), at 21h45, will be open to the public and should gather 1.6 million people and can become the largest audience of the singer’s career.
Retired Maria das Graças, who lives in Lucerna, Switzerland, came to Brazil exclusively to accompany the event.
“In Switzerland is very expensive. Here in Rio de Janeiro, on this wonderful beach, it is open to the public,” he told CNN. “I arrived on April 25th and I stay until May 21st.”
Bartender Stephanie Cardoso, from Rio de Janeiro, is going straight from work to the hotel door, sleepless.
“I get out of work and come here. Then I’ll be back, work and come back again. I’m not sleeping. I’m expecting to get at least one nod of her.”
The seller Michael Ferreira, from Belo Horizonte, has been on the spot for days and decided to resort to diapers so as not to leave the position.
“It’s the first time in life, but all for Gaga. It’s a 17 -year -old dream. I want to see her closely, thank you for everything she has done.”
Makeup artist Andressa Fragoso also joined the vigil and tries to realize the dream of getting a VIP ticket.
“I’m living this moment in the most intense way I can, doing everything I didn’t do in 2012. Gaga inspires me as an artist and as a person, especially for encouraging us to be who is, without fear of the judgment of others.”
In addition to the vigil, fans have drawn attention for creativity. Student Adilson Dias Caetano, from Uberlândia, shaved his hair with the singer’s name.
Felipe Lima de Carvalho, Santo André publicist, cried to learn that he also won a VIP ticket.
“It’s a love that you can’t explain. It’s like a football team. Gaga calls us Little Monsters and she’s our Mother Monster,” Felipe said.
Lady Gaga performs this Saturday with structure set up in front of Copacabana Palace. The security and mobility scheme will be similar to that of the city’s great New Year’s Eve.
