All new employment subsidy schemes

The Public Employment Service (DYPA-formerly OAED) will run a new generation of employment subsidy programs in the immediate future, amounting to 5 and concerning the following categories of unemployed:

1) 10,000 long-term unemployed over 45 years in areas of high unemployment pockets (12-18 months, 653-746 euros monthly subsidy)

2) 10,000 unemployed who face significant obstacles to their integration or reintegration into the labor market (12-24 months, 700 – 750 euros monthly subsidy)

3) 5,000 unemployed in the sectors of the green economy with emphasis on women (15 months, 700 euros monthly subsidy)

4) 4,000 unemployed to set up businesses in the digital economy (12 months, 14,800 euros subsidy)

5) 10,000 young unemployed (for 7 months, 100% subsidy).

The planning of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs concerns 11 programs of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” and the NSRF that subsidize the employment of the unemployed in 62,000 new full-time jobs, with a budget of almost 590 million euros, as well as 24,000 subsidized jobs from programs that “ran” in 2021 and remain open.

Already, in the first half, four new programs were activated with 20,000 new jobs, while three programs are expected to start within the summer with another 30,000 jobs.

For example, DYPA implemented the employment program for 4,000 unemployed people aged 30 and over in the Most Developed Regions (PAP) of the country, with an emphasis on women, as well as the program of gaining professional experience with a 100% subsidy for 10,000 unemployed young people. aged up to 29 years in the Regions of Attica and Central Macedonia, with NSRF funding.
