All-new Kia Sportage in Europe will be shorter and will be released later

According to the Korean Car Blog, the all-new Kia Sportage crossover will be delayed in Europe and will also be shorter than the version intended for the South Korean and US markets.

In the Korean and American markets, the novelty, which will receive a new extended wheelbase, will appear in July. The European Kia Sportage with a shorter wheelbase and a length of about 4.5 meters will be delayed until September this year. This version will have almost the same design, some details will differ, including the bumpers.

Although a European press release states that “more details will be released in September,” Kia Europe’s chief marketing officer Carlos Lahoz has bluntly stated that the car will be launched in September.

The new Sportage will follow the same path as the Hyundai Tucson, which comes in two versions: the standard one sold in Europe, which is 4.5 meters long, and the 4.63 meter model for countries such as South Korea, the United States and Australia. The second car looks much the same, but has a longer tailgate and a larger rear overhang.

As with the all-new Tucson, the 5th generation Kia Sportage will have several hybrid models that buyers have been longing for.

Kia recently released the first official images of the all-new Kia Sportage crossover.
