Telsa intends to provide all Superchargers with renewable energy.

The head of the Supercharger division in the Mid-Atlantic states, Justin Lange, wrote about this in his message. More precisely, he promised that such a goal will be achieved this year.
It should be understood that in most such cases we are not talking about direct connection of certain objects to sources that produce “green” energy. More often the company simply buys the corresponding amount of electricity from renewable sources, thus compensating for the costs of certain facilities.

Lange also gave some interesting statistics. So, since the launch of the Supercharger network, 2.4 TWh of energy have been delivered to it, which made it possible to save more than 1.26 billion liters of gasoline and compensate for 3 million tons of carbon dioxide.
