Allowance of 25 euros and free spit roast for those vaccinated in Serbia

All its citizens Serbia who have vaccinated or they will do so by May 31st will receive financial assistance of 3,000 dinars (25 euros), announced the President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic in a press conference. As it was characteristically stated, “it was decided to give financial incentives and reward those who are vaccinated instead of imposing measures of exclusion and discrimination against those who behave irresponsibly and refuse to get the coronavirus vaccine”.

Vucic, however, did not rule out the possibility that there would be a decision that would deprive public sector workers of their rights to refuse to be vaccinated. In particular, he stated that the measure of non-payment of salaries to public employees who have been ill with Covid-19 and had not been vaccinated, during the validity of the sick leave, is being examined.

The political leadership in Serbia, seeing that the interest of the citizens for the vaccination has significantly decreased, tries with various incentives, facilities, strict recommendations and warnings to rekindle the public interest in the vaccine. For about ten days now, in all major cities, the coronavirus vaccine has been administered without an appointment, and as of today, this measure is being extended to the entire territory. Every adult citizen can go to any vaccination center and get the vaccine they want by choosing one of the four vaccines used in the country, which are: Pfizer-BioNtech, Russian Sputnik-V, AstraZeneca and Chinese Sinopharm.

Beef spit for each vaccinated

Vaccination centers operate everywhere, in health centers, public services, shopping malls, department stores and even grills. In the famous barbecue called “Library at Milutin” located in the town of Kragujevac, in central Serbia, the menu yesterday, in addition to grilled spit and local delicacies, also had vaccines.

The owner of the store, Ljubinka Raskovic, with the help of the municipal health authorities, organized the vaccination of her customers with the vaccines of Pfizer-BioNtech and Sinopharm. Anyone vaccinated could taste free spit-roast beef for 15 hours in the store’s courtyard, or a portion of wild boar goulash.

“For a year now we have been living in fear of death, it is time to defeat this enemy and begin to socialize with each other, to be able to embrace each other, to enjoy life, so we decided to help in the way “Providing us, as a sign of gratitude, free food to the vaccinated,” Ljubinka Raskovic told reporters.

The delicacies of the “Library” were also tasted by those who hurried to donate blood, since at the same time with the vaccination in the grill, voluntary blood donation was organized, which is now a tradition since every year similar actions are organized in this store. Everyone who visited the “Library at Milutin” yesterday was happy as they were able to combine the pursuit of the useful. The owner of the barbecue was also satisfied, since thanks to her humanitarian action, 160 units of blood were collected yesterday and 40 people were vaccinated.
