According to Mediascope, last year in Russia almost 100% of Russians aged 12 to 24 were Internet users. More precisely, from February to November 2020, 97.1% of users in this age group went online at least once a month, but in fact much more often.
In the category from 25 to 34 years old, 95.8% of Russians used the Internet at least once a month, in the category from 35 to 44 years old – 93.7%, from 45 to 54 years old – 84.2% and in the category over 55 years old – almost half (49.7%) of the respondents. Overall, 78.1% of Russians used the Internet at least once a month last year.

70.8% of users prefer smartphones, and 50.8% of Russians use computers to access the Internet. Interestingly, 27.1% of Russians use smartphones exclusively, and most often these are people aged 25 to 34.
20% of Russian residents did not use the Internet last year, the majority of them are people over 55.
