Volkswagen Group Rus, the official manufacturer of Skoda in the Russian market, has launched a voluntary recall program for cars in Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart).

1,824 Skoda Kodiaqs sold in 2021 are subject to the recall. The reason for the recall was sticky plates that indicated the wrong Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) number.
Representatives of the company must inform by mail or by phone the owners of cars that fall under the recall about the need to take the vehicle to the nearest dealership for “repair work” – replacement of plates.
At the same time, owners can independently determine whether their vehicle is subject to recall. To do this, you need to check the VIN code of the car on the Rosstandart website or in a special service on the Auto.ru website.
