Of the nearly 600,000 businessmen who asked to join Simples Nacional in 2022, 437,477 are now waiting for Congress to override President Jair Bolsonaro’s veto on Refis for medium and small companies to actually enter the special tax regime this year.
According to the Federal Revenue, a total of 599,876 options for Simples had been received by the end of Monday (31), of which 133,455 had already been granted. Another 26,539 requests were canceled and only 2,405 companies had their adhesion to the regime rejected by the tax authorities.
Most entrepreneurs are in a “pending” situation, just waiting for the presidential veto to be overturned to the law that created the Debt Payment Rescheduling Program within the scope of Simples Nacional (Relp).
On January 21, the Managing Committee of Simples Nacional extended the debt settlement deadline until March 31, giving these entrepreneurs time to renegotiate their debts with the government through Refis.
