The results of the latest survey indicate that 47% of Russians did not feel any impact on their lives from the blocking of foreign social networks.

18% of respondents noted that they most likely do not see any consequences of blocking. 20% said they felt a partial impact, and only 15% of those surveyed noticed a real impact from the closure of banned social networks in Russia.

Even before the blocking, the most popular social network among Russian users was the VKontakte network – it was noted by 66% of respondents. 58% of respondents said they actively used the Instagram app*. Another 35% of the study participants noted that they often spent time in Odnoklassniki. 30% of respondents indicated that they used the social network Facebook*, and 20% of respondents used TikTok. 6% of study participants named LinkedIn and Twitter.

On March 21, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow recognized Meta as an extremist organization and banned the social networks Facebook* and Instagram* in Russia, which were immediately blocked. Also, the Russian media were banned from displaying the logos of the aforementioned companies and social networks.
