A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about the possibility of buying a PC on a platform like the Xbox Series X. Such an APU with a disabled graphics core was called the AMD 4700S.
And this is how a motherboard looks like, which can be bought both as part of a ready-made PC, and separately (along with an APU). So far, unfortunately, there are no photos with the disassembled cooler, but even without it there is something to look at.
As you can see, the board lacks slots for RAM, because 16 GB of memory is soldered on the board itself, like in the Xbox Series X. There is one PCIe slot for the video card, since the iGPU is disabled.
You can also note the presence of eight USB ports, of which half are high-speed. The APU has five power phases, and the memory has three.
The processor itself is eight-core with a frequency of 4 GHz. Since this is a Zen 2 architecture, we know perfectly well what such a CPU is capable of, but tests will clearly appear on the Web.
