Along with Windows 10, Microsoft updated Windows 7 and Windows 8.1

Microsoft today released its traditional monthly Patch Tuesday update for the Windows operating system.

Along with Windows 10, Microsoft updated Windows 7 and Windows 8.1

Cumulative updates are now available for all currently supported versions – Windows 10 2004, 20H2, and 21H on consumer PCs. Also some earlier versions of Windows 10 corporate and educational editions, as well as long-term LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) support are also supported.

Major changes include improved security when using input devices, including a mouse, keyboard, or stylus, improvements for username and password verification, file storage and management, and so on.

Interestingly, Microsoft has not forgotten about the older operating systems – Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. The update includes security updates in various areas of the system, including the Windows cloud infrastructure.

Microsoft ended support for the Windows 7 operating system over a year ago on January 14, 2020. However, for corporate users, Microsoft offers paid extended support for Windows 7. They can receive security updates through the Windows 7 ESU (Extended Security Updates) program until January 2023. In 2021, the price of this service has risen to $ 50 per computer, and in 2022 it will rise to $ 100 per computer.
