Alpha Bank: The Special Business Collective Bargaining Agreement was signed

The Bank’s Management and the Employees’ Association concluded today the signing of a Special Business Collective Bargaining Agreement, which strengthens the policy of the Alpha Bank Group for the prevention, confrontation and fight against forms of violence and harassment.

This special agreement, which Alpha Bank is the first in the Greek financial sector to sign, follows the provisions of Law 4808/2016 and confirms the Group’s long-standing pursuit of providing a modern, healthy and safe working environment to its employees, the bank in a relevant announcement and adds: “This choice, after all, has made Alpha Bank among the best employers in Greece and in other countries where the Group operates.

In particular, the purpose of this Policy is to prevent and combat all forms of discrimination (gender, race, color, language, religion or belief, disability or health status, age, sexual orientation, etc.).

The Policy also contributes to the creation and consolidation of a work environment that respects, promotes and further guarantees the human dignity and the right of every person to a world of work without violence and harassment. It is characteristic that the Policy covers a number of specialized issues, including domestic violence with extensions in the workplace, both physical and telework.

Other sub-topics covered by the Policy are particularly extensive with typical examples of sexual harassment and sexual harassment. In addition, the Alpha Bank Group is committed to demonstrating zero tolerance for these behaviors and identifies the rights and obligations of employees and the employer to prevent and deal with such incidents.

It also describes an integrated mechanism for submitting, managing and investigating complaints of such phenomena, which are encouraged and framed in a way that ensures the protection of the victim and respect for human dignity.

The Group takes care of the thorough information and awareness of its Staff for the fight against violence, discrimination and harassment, in order to ensure that everyone knows on the one hand the relevant policy and procedures of the Group, and on the other hand, where they can go in the event of such an incident.
