The Salewa Alpine Campus is a format born and shaped by passion, based on the concept of learning with and from others, meeting people with similar passions and broadening one’s horizons by sharing precious mountaineering experiences. The Salewa Alpine Campus workshops will be held by the mountain guides of the Globo Alpin South Tyrolean school, with the special contribution of Salewa athletes who will share their skills with the participants. “During the course you will learn how to read the mountain under different aspects and plan your exits with due attention,” he explains Thomas Aichnermarketing director Salewa.
For experienced mountaineers, the mountains are a second home and the different aspects of alpine sports have no secrets. For others, however, the Alpine territory is a new horizon to be explored, and the management of the risks associated with the mountains still brings with it many questions. The contents of the Alpine Campus have the ambition to inspire an approach to the mountains understood not only as a space in which to practice sports, but also as a natural and cultural habitat.
All participants will have the opportunity to learn a better evaluate the mountain and the circumstances that arise in an alpine environment, providing an important basis on which to base one’s choices. On top of that, they will learn the basics of ski mountaineering and mountain climbing through a course for beginners or advanced depending on your level.
“The experience also focuses a lot on the sense of community, which we will develop not only by organizing and planning individual activities as a group, but also by cooking together”, emphasizes Thomas Aichner. This is why the Salewa Alpine Campus will be a sort of “school of alpine life” and therefore much more than just a course. For information and registration click here.
