The Amazonas Civil Police (PC-AM) arrested a 55-year-old man last Monday, suspected of being a judicial expert and coercing two teenagers, victims of vulnerable rape, to change his statements against the authors.
The arrest occurred when the false expert Elvys Marcos Pereira appeared to the police station stating that he would have gone there to follow a case.
In a press conference held on Tuesday (29), the delegate responsible for the case, Paulo Mavignier, director of the Department of Interior Police (DPI), said that the arrest of the man is unfolding of another investigation that culminated in the arrests of two men, 43 and 79, who sexually abused the victims. They are their father and grandfather, respectively. The case happened in the city of Beruri, which is about 173 kilometers from the capital, Manaus.
According to police, investigations around the false expert began in October last year, after the father and grandfather of the four teenagers, both aged 13 to 15, being arrested.
After the arrests, the corporation received two videos where the false expert questioned two of the teenagers about the denunciation of sexual abuse against his father, and even told the victims that they were in their residence with the knowledge of the Civil Police, which was a lie.
“In analyzing the videos, the psychological violence he practices against the victims was clear, and it is possible to realize that they are quite shaken and feel guilty for their father being arrested,” said delegate Rosane Ferreira, responsible for the city police station where the cases of rape occurred.
Also according to Rosane, the man was hired by the family of teenagers to try to innocent the two suspects, because the relatives of the prisoners did not believe in the testimony of the victims.
The man must be responsible for coercion in the course of the process involving a crime of rape of vulnerable and continues to the disposal of justice.
