Huami launched the Amazfit GTR 2 eSIM smartwatch in China in April with a built-in SIM card, which allows users to make and receive calls from their watch. Now the watch is entering the world market under the name Amazfit GTR 2 LTE.
The information was published on the official Amazfit Global Twitter page, the manufacturer listed the main characteristics of the watch, including support for 90 sports modes and 4G networks. The exact release date will be announced later.

The watch will receive a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels, NFC, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, sleep tracking and blood oxygen determination. Amazfit GTR 2 LTE should also have Amazon Alexa support at launch.
The Amazfit GTR 2 eSIM version sold in China has a smaller 338 mAh battery compared to the 471 mAh battery in the standard version. Most likely Huami had to shrink the battery to make room for the eSIM.
