At the end of last year it became known that the creators of Essential Phone are making a new OSOM OV1 phone, which, as it became known, will be fully announced in the summer and released this year.
OSOM is an abbreviation for Out of sight, Out of mind and reads the same as the word awesome (“cool”, “amazing”). The model name OV1 stands for OSOM Vault 1.

A photo of OSOM OV1 without a back cover posted by Android Police confirms that it can support wireless charging. In addition to attention to user privacy, it is believed that the device can be easily repaired by users themselves.
It also became known that the company offered fans a choice of four colors, including Solar Yellow, Borealis Green, Twilight Blue, and Dusk Purple. The winner among the four options was Borealis Green.

It was originally planned to present the smartphone at the end of the month at MWC, but in the end the announcement was postponed to the summer. The phone will run on Android, and one of the things OSOM wants to take from the Essential Phone is the speed at which it will receive Android updates. Essential team member and OSOM CEO Jason Keats said that Google used to get mad at Essential for quick Android updates.
