Amazon Prime will become more expensive; see how much the main streaming services cost

Amazon Prime subscriptions will become more expensive from March onwards. Amazon's benefits program — which includes access to the Prime Video streaming platform — will rise from R$14.90 to R$19.90 per month.

In a note, the company explained that the program will continue to include exclusive discounts, free delivery and fast shipping on Amazon products, access to Prime Video, Prime Reading and Prime Gaming, in addition to Amazon Music Prime.

The price change takes effect from March 8th for new subscriptions, and from April 8th for members who are already part of the program.

The monthly subscription will go from R$14.90 to R$19.90 per month, while the annual subscription will go from R$119.00 to R$166.80.

Customers who want to save can sign up or migrate to the annual plan until March 7, paying the current price of R$119.00 per year, valid for the next 12 months.

In addition to Prime Video, other streaming platforms have also announced increases or changes to their plans in recent years.

Netflix

Netflix's cheapest plan, with ad breaks, is R$18.90. The ad-free plan is R$39.90, and the premium plan (with better image quality and more devices included) is R$55.90.

HBO Max

To subscribe to HBO Max, you need to pay R$34.90 per month, or take out an annual plan of R$239.90 per year (savings of R$178.90). Look.

Disney+

Disney+ has two plan options. It is possible to subscribe to just the content on the Disney platform, for R$33.90 per month, or R$279.90 per year (a discount of R$101.70).

Or subscribe to Disney+ and Star+ together, for R$55.90 per month, without the option of an annual plan. Check out the difference.

Globoplay

In addition to the monthly and annual plan, Globoplay offers several joint subscription plans with other streaming channels or with other channels included.

To subscribe to Globoplay content only, you need to pay R$29.90 per month, or R$214.80 per year (with a discount of R$144.00).

The Globoplay combo plus access to closed TV channels costs R$54.90 per month, or R$538.80 per year (saving R$120.00).

In addition, Globoplay also offers subscription combos with other streaming platforms. For example, it is possible to subscribe to Globoplay, Disney+ and Star+ for R$68.90 per month.
