Amber Group co-founder dies in his sleep

On Wednesday, November 23, 30-year-old co-founder of the cryptocurrency company Amber Group Tiantian Kullander suddenly died in his sleep. Details of his death have not been released.

Amber Group was founded in 2017 with former employees of major banks Goldman Sachs Group and Morgan Stanley. The company began to develop rapidly, and already in 2019, Tiantian Kullander was included in the Forbes list of young billionaires. At the beginning of the year, the company was valued at $3 billion, and in February it closed a $200 million funding round. Kullander served on the Board of Directors of Fnatic, one of the most successful esports organizations in the world, and also founded KeeperDAO.

“We have lost a great partner and friend. His departure is a tragedy not only for us, because he left behind a wife and beloved son. Tiantian Kullander has invested his soul into the company at every stage of its development. With his intellect and diligence, he set an example for his employees. His deep knowledge, willingness to cooperate and desire to help others have inspired many people. Tiantian’s legacy will live on and we will work even harder to make Amber an industry leader,” said Amber Group.

Kullander is the second cryptocurrency billionaire to shock the public with his death in recent months. At the end of October, one of the first developers of MakerDAO, Nikolay Muchgyan, was found dead on a Puerto Rican beach. Shortly before his death, he tweeted that he was in trouble with the CIA. In 2019, Tobiasz Niemiro, co-owner of the Bitmarket cryptocurrency exchange, died in Poland under mysterious circumstances.
