Amber Heard’s Sister Says She Saw Depp Beat The Actress While They Were Married

the sister of Amber Heard stated this Wednesday (19) during testimony that the actor Johnny Depp grabbed Heard by the hair and hit him in the face repeatedly when they were married

Whitney Heard Henriquez Heard’s younger sister, testified in court as part of the ongoing defamation lawsuit between Heard and ex-husband Depp.

Henriquez said he lived with Heard and Depp for a while while the two were married and that he thought of Depp as a brother.

She testified about a fight where she saw Depp throw a can of Red Bull at her nurse, Debbie Lloyd, which Debbie denied in her deposition. Henriquez said that during the incident, Depp ran up a ladder towards her.

“He comes after me and hits me in the back. I hear Amber yelling don’t hit my sister and then she hits him,” Henriquez said. “By this time, Johnny had grabbed Amber by the hair with one hand and repeatedly hit her in the face with the other.”

Depp accused Heard of defaming him in a 2018 editorial for The Washington Post. In the article, published about two years after the divorce, Heard described himself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Although Depp was not named in the article, he claims it cost him lucrative acting roles.

Heard filed a $100 million counterclaim.

Heard accused Depp of physically and sexually abusing her throughout their relationship. Depp denied hitting Heard during his testimony.

Depp’s legal team accused Heard of being the aggressor in the relationship.

Henriquez, who was questioned by Depp’s attorney Rebecca Lecaroz, said she sometimes acted as a marriage counselor and sometimes sided with Depp in discussions. Lecaroz questioned Henriquez about why she supported her sister when she wanted to remain in the relationship with Depp.

“Did you want Ms. Heard to stay with Mr. Depp even after seeing him hit her, right?” asked Lecaroz.

“This is really oversimplifying something that is far from simple. Once again, Amber was very much in love, as was Johnny. She’s telling me she wants something. Whether or not I agreed with it, whether or not I was okay with what was happening, it wasn’t my place to say anything,” testified Henriquez.

On Wednesday, jurors also heard testimony from several witnesses, including a makeup artist and an acting coach who worked with Heard, who said he saw Heard with injuries during his relationship with Depp.

Several witnesses said they saw Heard with facial injuries after an altercation in May 2016 that eventually preceded a restraining order against Depp and the couple’s divorce.

His testimony contradicts that of two Los Angeles police officers, who testified early in the trial, who saw no visible injuries to Heard’s face or disorder in the former couple’s home.

The trial continues this Thursday (19).
