Ambyx: Turnover increase by 54% in the second half, profit doubling

Ambix closed an extremely strong 2nd half of 2021, recording a growth in turnover from continuing activities (like for like) + 54% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year 2020 (and + 21% compared to 2019) with a doubling of profitability for year.

At the same time, and without being included in the above results, it strengthened its portfolio through the integration of Moet-Hennessy’s portfolio (with super premium Vodka Belvedere, Veuve Clicquot and Krug champagnes, rum Eminente, tequila Volcan and Ardbeg whiskeys & Glenmorangie) and Proximo (with market leader tequila Jose Cuervo, Bushmills Irish whiskey, 1800 super premium Tequila and rum Kraken).

Mr. Giannis Artinos, General Manager of Ambix, stated:

“The strategic choices and priorities for 2021 fully justified us. It was a year that, against the current, we invested disproportionately. Both in the development of brands, with + 37% in support funds, but also in the strengthening of the organization, with + 24% “Thus, although tourism moved significantly below the high levels of 2019, we managed to surpass the organic turnover of 2019, a year that had been a record for Ambix, thus significantly strengthening our share in the Greek market.”

At the same time, we are particularly honored by these two very important new collaborations that started in the second half of 2021, on the one hand with the consolidation of the entire portfolio of M-H in Greece in Ambyx, but also the very important addition of Proximo brands. They set the best guarantees for the continuous development and strengthening of our presence as the largest alcoholic beverage company in Greece ”
