A new report from 3DCenter indicates that the cost of graphics cards in the European market has dropped significantly over the past three weeks. As you can see from the chart, prices are declining as Ethereum prices drop and the supply situation improves. As for AMD 3D cards, the lowest markup is on the flagship Radeon RX 6900 XT (on average, it is 24% more expensive than the recommended cost), as well as on the Radeon RX 6600 XT (plus 26%), Radeon RX 6600 (plus 20%) and Radeon RX 6500 XT (plus 8%). Moreover, last week in Europe there was a case of selling the Radeon RX 6500 XT below the recommended cost.

As for Nvidia models, most are 50% more expensive than the recommended retail price on average, but there are exceptions. For example, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is only 16% more expensive. And this is a good option compared to the GeForce RTX 3090, which is 34% more expensive than the recommended price. As for the most affordable model of the line, the GeForce RTX 3050, it is currently 29% more expensive than the recommended price in Europe on average.

At the same time, in Russia, against the backdrop of the Ukrainian events, the situation on the video card market is the opposite of the pan-European situation: prices are rising. Example: the average cost of the Radeon RX 6900 XT is now 250,000 rubles, which is about 1680 euros. For comparison, in the largest German store Mindfactory, the average price of this video card is 1400 euros. Another example: the cost of the GeForce RTX 3070 jumped in Russia to 200,000 rubles (on average). It’s about 1350 euros. At the same time, the most expensive model in the 3DCenter table costs 1275 euros, while the cost of the majority fits into 1000 euros. This indicates that in Russia the cost of video cards (and components in general) is growing not only in rubles, but also in foreign currency. This is not surprising, since recently AMD, Intel and Nvidia announced the suspension of the supply of their products in Russia.
