AMD has confirmed that the third generation of AMD’s Epyc processors will be officially unveiled on March 15th. On this day, the manufacturer will present 19 models with 8 to 64 cores. All of them will be based on the Zen3 architecture.
On the day of the announcement, there will be a presentation by Lisa Su, head of AMD, and other high-level representatives of the company. The event will be held online only. Video footage will be available for viewing during the year following the live broadcast.
In addition to the new core architecture, the 3rd Gen Epyc will feature higher clock speeds reaching 4.1 GHz. For comparison: representatives of the current series on the Zen2 microarchitecture can overclock up to 3.7 GHz. The lineup will include both models designed specifically for single-processor systems and models designed for use in dual-processor configurations.
