AMD ends support for graphics drivers for Windows 7 and 8.1

At the end of June, AMD released a new version of the Radeon Software Adrenalin driver – update 21.6.1 adds support for the Radeon RX 6800M graphics card and the new Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance game, as well as fixes several issues, including crashes and freezes. The new Radeon Software Adrenalin driver is the first in its series to support only Windows 10 – no update is available for legacy Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems.

The latest available version of the Radeon Software Adrenalin driver for Windows 7 and 8.1 users is 21.5.2. AMD has moved these operating systems to the legacy support model, which means that the company has made the decision to stop implementing improvements and new features for these systems, as well as bug fixes and security fixes.
