Specialists of the analytical company Jon Peddie Research (JPR) have prepared a report related to the global market for graphics processing units (GPU) for PCs. According to their calculations, GPU shipments in Q4 2021 were 101 million units, down 15% year-on-year, while PC CPU shipments were down 21% year-on-year.
AMD’s share of the GPU market increased by 0.7% QoQ, Intel’s share decreased by 0.1%, and Nvidia’s share by 0.60%. The distribution of the market at the end of the quarter is shown in the diagram.

GPU shipments increased by 0.8% compared to the previous quarter. AMD increased shipments by 4.7%, Intel – by 0.6%, and Nvidia reduced shipments by 2.2%.
Analysts expect 4.5% CAGR in GPU shipments between 2020 and 2025.
